Two kilometers from the Kärkelä mill village the view opens up to the Kurkela Lake, from which the route proceeds along the Kurkela River through the rural landscape to the Louhela lean-to. This tour is ideal for those who want to get acquainted with the joys of canoeing. It is also a good way to relax and step out of the daily routines for a few hours. Those who have the time to continue down the river get to see the Kirkko Lake of Kisko.
